7/10/2018 7:20:00 AM Father and son duo come to Minocqua on July 10
Father and son musical duo Paul Todd and Paul Todd Jr. will perform at Lakeland Union High School on July 10.
Father and son musical duo, Paul Todd and Paul Todd Jr. will again be entertaining audiences in Minocqua as part of their summer concert tour. The artists have donated their time as a special benefit for the Lakeland Performing Arts Association, and this event has been added as a bonus concert to the association's usual 2018 performance schedule.
The show will be on Tuesday, July 10 at the Lakeland Union High School Theatre, 9753 state highway 70 West. The concert will begin at 7 p.m., and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are being offered at a special price of $10 so entire families and summer visitors can enjoy this evening of entertainment.
Father and son entertain, inspire and bring virtuosity to every show as they perform a combination of classical, gospel, Broadway, swing, pop and many other styles of music. The elder Todd plays six keyboards and sings simultaneously while the younger Todd sings and plays drums. The two make for an unforgettable show sure to leave the audience uplifted and amazed.
The elder Todd is known for his award-winning keyboard playing, having won the National Yamaha contest when he was only 14 years old. His signature "Five-Note" symphony, a segment involving a member from the audience to compose a symphony completely on the spot, and his popular hit, "The First Lady in My Life," are two of his most-requested segments in every performance.
The younger Todd is known for his hit soldier tribute son, "One Star," as well as his energetic stage persona and versatile vocals, singing songs by greats like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Josh Groban, Steve Perry, The Righteous Brothers, Franki Valli & the Four Seasons and many more.
This concert will be but one stop on the Todds' 2018 tour, which will encompass Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey and South Carolina. Both elder and younger Todds have worked almost exclusively to raise money for churches, schools and charitable organizations.
This tour furthers their endeavors by assisting LPAA in their mission to bring quality, affordable entertainment to the Northwoods.
The $10 tickets can be reserved by calling Kay Suffron 715-686-2668, and if there are available seats, these can also be purchased at the door.
