5/15/2018 7:25:00 AM Trinity Lutheran Ladies Guild Friendship Tea on May 16
Trinity Lutheran Church in Boulder Junction will host the Friendship Tea in the church fellowship hall from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16.
The Trinity Lutheran Ladies Guild is holding the 16th annual friendship tea for friends, neighbors and area guests.
This year's theme will be "Blossoms to Brighten Your Day," and each table will feature a different flower.
Tea will be served at 1 p.m., and a special program on flowers and plants will begin about 2 p.m., presented by Dawn from Winkler's Greenhouse in Boulder Junction.
Guests will be seated at tables decorated with a flower selected by the hostess. Guests are encouraged to bring along a picture of their favorite summer plant to share with others at their table. As always, guests can decorate a hat with a flower or garden theme for a special prize if they wish to enter the hat contest.
The menu for the tea will feature punch and a variety of teas.
Different "crumpets" or finger sandwiches, appetizers, fruit and desserts will be served at the delicious luncheon. Each year the guild serves a variety of new and favorite sandwiches, warm appetizers and desserts in an inviting and appealing manner for both the eye and the appetite.
Spring hats are nice but not necessary for the tea. For fun, prizes will be awarded to those who traveled the farthest distance to the tea, the oldest attendee, and the theme hat winner.
Tickets will cost only $8. Ticket reservations are required again this year to assure that all guests can be accommodated. Call either Irene Gravelle at 715-385-2222 or Nancy Voeltz in Boulder Junction at 715-385-9236 to reserve a ticket and make arrangements for paying and receiving the ticket.
Proceeds from the tea will be used for local and other mission projects supported by the guild.
Trinity Lutheran Church is on the right at the east end of town past the Boulder Junction Post Office. The tea is served in the Fellowship Hall.
