9/12/2017 7:25:00 AM Aspirus offers seasonal flu shots Aspirus is holding special flu clinics at three clinic locations in northern Wisconsin.
Flu vaccinations are available for people ages 6 months to adult. Children under the age of 18 will need parental consent. All vaccinations will be entered into the Wisconsin Immunization Registry. Flu clinics will be held at the following Aspirus Clinic locations: Aspirus Rhinelander Clinic, 1630 North Chippewa Drive, 715-361-5480 Sept. 13 and 28: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 9, 23 and 30: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aspirus Three Lakes Clinic, 6951 South Michigan Street, 715-546-2543 Oct. 10 and 24: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aspirus Woodruff Clinic, 611 Veterans Parkway, 715-358-8610 Sept. 12 and 26: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3 and 17: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments are preferred; walk-ins will be accepted. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends all healthy children ages 6 months to adult get vaccinated against the seasonal flu. However, the vaccines are highly recommended for anyone over the age of 65, people with serious long-term health problems such as heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, anemia, and people with weakened immune systems due to cancer treatment, steroid therapy or HIV/Aids.
