Starting June 26, the Minocqua Public Library will host events for the Summer Reading Program for Teens, ages 13 and up.
Tuesday, June 26, 2 to 4 p.m., Joy Pitzer leads a journey into the fascinating world of forensic science. Who knows what we will discover? Register (call or visit the library) beginning June 12.
Thursday, June 28, 2 to 4 p.m., paint rocks with kind messages and create mandala rocks using markers and paint. Leave one for the community garden and take one home. All supplies provided.
Thursday, July 19, 2 to 4 p.m., the program room in the library is the teens' today. Listen to music, play games, chat and share what's new and interesting with friends. Beverages will be served.
Art of Henna
Thursday, July 26, 2 to 4 p.m. Learn about the art of henna, its history and get a small tattoo. Register (call or visit the library) beginning July 12.
Retro Movies, Food and Fun
Thursday, Aug. 9, 5 to 7 p.m., the end of the summer bash includes watching some fun flicks (movies may be PG-13), playing games and more.
Books-N-Brunch Book Club
Join for fun with friends to discuss the latest book selection. The book club meets Saturday, July 7 and Saturday, Aug. 4 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This book club is open to anyone, and teens do not need to attend every meeting. Stop in the library to pick up the book about two weeks before each meeting, or whenever it works for them.
