Another link to an important part of Minocqua's past is gone.
Larry Bosacki, a longtime Minocqua businessman and active community member, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13. He was 85.
Minocqua, he liked to say, was "his town" and in 2015, he was interviewed by Ray Rivard of The Lakeland Times and explained why he felt that way for anyone who didn't know him.
"Having lived here nearly every day of his life, with the exception of the two days he spent in Rhinelander when he was born and the few years he spent in and out of the country serving his nation in the military, Bosacki knows a thing or two about the area and its people," Rivard wrote. "That's nearly 80 years in 'his' town."
