Lakeland senior Maquian Johnson clears a hurdle en route to winning the 110-meter hurdles at the WIAA Division 2 Regionals on Monday, May 21, at Mosinee High School.
MOSINEE - On his way to winning the 1983 NCAA national championship, North Carolina State men's basketball coach Jim Valvano coined the phrase "survive and advance."

That was the goal for many competitors on the Lakeland Union High track and field team at Monday's WIAA Division 2 Regional meet at Mosinee.

Suter named new boys' hockey coach at Lakeland
Lakeland Union High School activities director Don Scharbarth may be retiring this summer, but he's going out with a bang.
